On December 1st I purchased at the premiere of the Mitch Schlimer Artography exhibit and show at the Mary Martin downtown gallery on East Bay a truly “1 in a million moment“ of this custom ordered Giclee canvas print of this gorgeous and extremely elusive male Least Bittern displaying for his mate which is extremely rare to capture yet capturing the rare and sharing is Mitch’s specialty as I have learned over the last few years together as friends!
I was privileged to know and see Mitchell Schlimer in my very early days taking bird photos. We were both at the Old Pitt St. Pier taking photos and started talking and he invited me to join his group called Mount Pleasant Wildlife and Nature Photography on Facebook which today has over 1,300 members and growing thanks to Mitch marketing and administrative skills !
I was hooked after seeing his unique and beautiful Artography as his photos actually look and feel like paintings which is a whole other level and also enjoy the other photographers pictures posted!
Mitch also gave me real guidance and numerous tips as he is always eager to help anyone and a true inspiration to practice, practice and more practice in order to become even better with my photography and it has helped me tremendously!
Mitch has so much patience which he tells me is so important to get the one in a million picture. I’ve not mastered anything like that, but it’s just so good to be out in nature and looking and breathing bird photos or landscape.
Mitch is truly a really good friend and inspiration to us all as his “Mitch Schlimer Artography” show is special and I recommend all my friends not only see it, but also buy some of his true one of a kind moments as Mitch is so deserving of this awesome show.
Thank you so Mitch and I know 2024 is going to be special for you, your Artography and your merchandise line showcasing your Artography from not only Charleston, but the world.
