"Art Gallery Owner Inspires New Direction of The Vendue"

"The president of Avocet Hospitality Group said a persistent woman who called him over and over inspired the theme for newly renovated boutique hotel, The Vendue.
Jonathan Weitz said a local business owner repeatedly called him asking if she could place an art easel in the lobby of The Vendue, formerly known as the Vendue Inn, in downtown Charleston. He said he initally ignored her. But just after a meeting with his architects to determine what direction the hotel's renovation would take, she emailed.
"I looked down at my phone, and there was an email from this woman. It was one of those moments when I knew what to do," Weitz said. "They all say, great ideas are born out of something small. It just made sense.
